Thanksgiving Recap: 2013

Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful, ours was yummy. We spent the day with family, playing poker, listening to music and grubbing all day!  Its our tradition, and what better way than to be with family making memories.  My sister in law and I did all the prepping, cooking and it was flawless.  The Turkey was looking good and tasted even better.

Happy Holidays!

Weekend Recap

It's Monday and guess what!!??? I am super excited because I only have to work 2.5 days. This past weekend was a really good one, on Saturday my son had his last game of the baseball for fall season, and they went out with a win! Final score 12-8. Woo-hoo.
Saturday evening, I had a much needed girls night with my sister in law. She treated me to dinner at Carrabbas and I must say the food was phenomenal. Not only did I have one drink, but two, glasses of Sangria with an appetizer of Shrimp Scampi it was so yummy, followed by Pasta Weezy, it was mouth watering good. Oh and the never ending bread with olive oil needless to say, I was stuffed.
After our Nosh, it was on to watch Catching Fire. OMG, it was so good, even though Gale is the"Eye Candy", Peeta is stinkin cute, he melts your heart. Looking forward to the MockingJay!
I almost forgot about my Sunday, probably because it was so uneventful. I pretty much did some house chores, finished up my Thanksgiving shopping and relaxed. Well I hope you ladies had a wonderful weekend! Enjoy your Family & Friends on this Thanksgiving! xoxo, Jessie

Five on Friday!!

With the Holiday festivities around the corner, I am looking forward to spending tomorrow night with my favorite sister in law at the St. Augustine “Nights of Lights”

Thanksgiving is next week, and I have yet to make the menu.  Thankfully, I will be prepping, cooking and eating along side my sister in law! Did I mention she is my favorite!

I start my day with a nice big hot cup of Dunkin Donut Coffee.  Nothing-fancy just plain ole original, but it does have to be light and sweet.  It’s my way of getting the day started.  Always running on Dunkin!

I am faced with another year of not being able to spend Thanksgiving with MY side of the family.  Living 1000 miles a way from your parents and siblings can be somewhat upsetting, but you learn to live with it.  I am thankful for my husband’s family and I am looking forward to having Thanksgiving with them.

I having been patiently waiting for the Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie.  I am so excited to see it this weekend! Can’t wait!

Hey There!

I am back!

I know that I have been away for a few months. Although I was not posting, I felt connected because I had the pleasure of reading some wonderful blogs.  I am hoping to use this blog as a rambling of my so-called Life.  TTYL!

A lil inspiration goes a long way!

For the last couple of years, I have been on the exercise & weight loss band wagon.  Needless to say, I fall off & can never seem to catch up to it.  Well, here I am again, only this time with help of inspiration staying on until my destination "Healthy lifestyle".
I will be keeping a journal of my food and exercise plans.  I want to keep track of my trial and errors as well as my success.  Inspiration is my Motivation!

Victory vs Defeat

We are taught that winning is everything.  But in essence, what competetion would we have if we walked away with a trophy everytime.
This past weekend my sons travel Baseball team traveled about a 100 miles for the Summer Nationals tournament in Georgia.  Although, we came home empty handed,  the boys did their best and played hard. We try to instill in each boy that winning isn't everything in hopes that they learn from the errors.
