Needing Mediation for my Confessions

This week I am linking up with Shereadstruth for their weekly She Reads Truth and we are studying Joshua 1:8-9.

And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed. Haven’t I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don’t be timid; don’t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take.”

Let me start by saying that I try so hard on a daily basis to stay consistent to His
Word. Moses has died and God asked Joshua to lead the Israelites into the Promised land, that is a big thing to ask, but God doesn’t give us anything we can’t handle right? Just like I need strength and courage to stay with God so does Joshua. I know if I open my heart to him he is there every step of the way! All we have to do is Believe in His Word!

Master, hear my cry! Psalm 130

 Hi Ladies!

Today I am joining She Reads Truth for their She Shares Truth and we are beginning with Psalm 130: I have never read Psalm 130 before, but here goes it:

130 1-2 Help, God—the bottom has fallen out of my life!
Master, hear my cry for help!
Listen hard! Open your ears!
Listen to my cries for mercy.

3-4 If you, God, kept records on wrongdoings,
    who would stand a chance?
As it turns out, forgiveness is your habit,
    and that’s why you’re worshiped.

5-6 I pray to God—my life a prayer—
and wait for what he’ll say and do.
My life’s on the line before God, my Lord,
    waiting and watching till morning,
    waiting and watching till morning.

7-8 O Israel, wait and watch for God
    with God’s arrival comes love,
with God’s arrival comes generous redemption.
No doubt about it—he’ll redeem Israel,
buy back Israel from captivity to sin.

Every morning upon waking up I give thanks to the Lord for giving me another day!  I know he is Listening to my cries for help!   I know he is all around me waiting Patiently;  and has been for a very long time.   I have been trying to become acclimated to Jesus and his word,  I started out with listening to the Daily Audio Bible and while I enjoyed listening to the Word, I couldn’t comprehend the readings just by listening , I am a visual person and needed more.  I am so glad I stumbled upon She Reads Truth, because I have a better understanding of Gods word and the devotionals are phenomenal.  Thank you SRT!

I am not perfect! I have fallen and I will fall many more times, yet I know God is there to help me get back up, all I have to do is call upon him and be patient.  They say patience is a virtue right?  That is something I am learning to do, to be patient and wait for it.  God has a plan and will provide when his timing is right!

In Jesus Name I Pray!

2013 Recap

Now that the holidays are somewhat over, I have time to blog.  I thought I'd start with recapping the 2013 year. It's the thing to do in blog land Right? Right!

Looking back I have to say I had made so many resolutions, none of which I kept. So I am looking forward to beginning 2014 with being happy, getting to know Jesus and putting my self first so I can be there for my family.

The highlight of the year was the h.s graduation of my middle son Justin.  My parents, my sister and her family came from NJ to celebrate this milestone with us together as a family.  We enjoyed family bonding with love, laughter and a day at St. Augustine.

Proud parents!

2013 was pretty much spent at a baseball field either practices, rec games, All-stars and tournaments. 4 or 5 out of the 7 days, thanks to our left handed baseball player Marcus.  Wouldn't trade  it for nothing in the world.  The joy of seeing him on the mound makes those rushing home from work late- night fast food eating all worth it.

I participated in my very first Mud Run.  It was so much fun and for a great cause.  Looking forward to doing another one soon!

We'll that pretty much sums it up!  Stay tuned to 2014 goals and resolutions.

Weekend Shenanigans

Sami's Shenanigans

 Hey All,

I'm linking up with Sami for what may seem to be the last least for now.

This weekend was a busy one.  My son had a baseball tournament that began on Thursday and ended on Saturday with Championship win!  What a great way to end the Fall Baseball Season.  Way to go boys!

On Sunday I finally was able to decorate my house for Christmas, while watching Christmas movies on ABC Family.  It felt rather weird decorating with the AC on and the temperatures reaching 85 degrees.  That's the Florida life..Where is the cold??? I wanna wear my boots!!!  I will trade places with anyone for one day of snow!!!

Well that was my weekend.  How was yours?

Five on Friday

I can’t believe that Christmas is quickly approaching, only 19 days left, and I have so much to do in so little time. Looking forward to the next few weeks. It’s hard to say we are in December with the crazy Florida weather!

{One} Doesn’t feel like Christmas is in the Air~ Not with 80 degree weather!

{Two} I am still waiting for my husband to bring down my Christmas Décor. Usually, my house is decked out the weekend of Thanksgiving but this year I am still waiting on him!

{Three}- A tradition in our home is to watch the “Christmas Story” as a family. I would love to add a few more Christmas Movies.

{Four]- One of the main reasons we chose to live in Florida is the Baseball Season. Baseball is offered as an all around year sport primarily because of the beautiful weather. As a baseball mom, my nights and weekends consist of being at the baseball park watching my son play or practice a lot.

{Five} Christmas Outfit~ Pinterest. Super cute & Comfy for the Holidays.

There you have it, my five on Friday!  Happy Holidays!
